LibriVox Audiobooks   (fiction and non-fiction)  (free)

LibriVox - founded in 2005 - is a community of volunteers from all over the world who record public domain texts: poetry, short stories, whole books, even dramatic works, in many different languages. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain in the USA and available as free downloads on the internet.

The recordings on LibriVox are excellent.

Guttenberg Audiobooks   (fiction and non-fiction)   (free)

OSLIS     Oregon State Library Information System

This system is much bigger than ebooks/audiobooks. It is a wonderful research tool, curriculum building tool, and easy to work with Google Classroom. Be sure to come visit me and I will show you how to use it. We also can schedule a state librarian to come in and demonstrate this very valuable free asset. (non-fiction)   At school you are automatically signed in. I have a log in that I can share with you so that students can use it at home.

Internet Archive of Various Digital Content:

The Internet Archive, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Like a paper library, we provide free access to researchers, historians, scholars, the print disabled, and the general public. Our mission is to provide Universal Access to All Knowledge.
