Epic eBooks has given NMMS permission to have free at home access for their collection of eBooks. Please read the following information for easy access. I will be glad to provide the code for you. Just email me at: marie.jones@nmarion.k12.or.us

We are committed to keeping kids reading and learning, especially if they are away from school for an extended period of time. To ensure students do not lose access to Epic in the case of a school closure, we would like to give your entire class a three-month Epic subscription for free.

This will allow all your students to use Epic anytime, from anywhere, since students will not be able to log-in to existing free educator accounts from a location other than the classroom, even during the regular classroom hours.

To take advantage of this offer, your students and their families will need to visit Epic and sign up for an account at home using the promo code 3monthsfree. Please encourage them all to do this!

  • For Parents: Sign up with a parent’s email address at https://www.getepic.com/promo via the Epic website (offer not available through Apple iTunes or Google Play sign-up) under 'Families' and follow the on-screen instructions. Parents will be asked for the promo code (3monthsfree) during the sign-up process.

Write your Librarian, Marie K. Jones, for the code at:

Once they have signed up, every student can connect their new home accounts to their existing classroom account using the class code, ensuring they can continue to access class collections and assigned books. When you share this offer with your families, make sure you also share these instructions to help them connect accounts upon signup. (You can also share this helpful YouTube video.)

While you are free to share this code with the parents of your students, we would appreciate it if you did not share this offer with other educators, and especially not on any social networks, at this time.

The team here is busy working to get a better solution out to ALL teachers to support them and their students during school closures - one that does *not* require families to input a credit card and still gives kids home access. This more inclusive solution will be widely shared early next week. That code was just a temporary way to help support those teachers and kids who needed help immediately.

Best Regards,
